Recipe Organization System

A viewer on my YouTube channel asked if I would do a video about how I organize recipes.  Well, I do have a system, but it's not just one way of organizing.  First, I start with a regular recipe box.  This is one my mom made for me back in the 70s (kind of obvious).  I love this box because it is very sentimental and I keep all of my favorite family recipes in it.

The next part of my system involves a Web site and phone app called Ziplist.  I can store recipes I want to try and it's easy to click and add ingredients to the shopping list on my phone.

Be sure to see the detailed video I did that explains how to use Ziplist:
I also pin recipes on a Pinterest board.  These are usually recipes I'm not planning to make right now, but might want to try in the future.

Finally, there's "the book." For my old favorites—the ones I go back to time and time again—those I transfer to this recipe book for easy access.

And that's it!  It's a system that works well for me.  Sure would love to hear about your ideas for organizing recipes, so please feel free to comment below.  Also, be sure to check out this video on my YouTube channel and don't forget to subscribe:
