Organizing Food Storage Containers

My food storage situation was driving me crazy!  I had a pretty good system for organizing the containers themselves as you can see in this drawer.  It was the LIDS that were tough to deal with.

Here was my atrocious lid drawer that had a few other plastic containers in it.  Yikes!

I bought these bamboo drawer dividers on Amazon.  Under $15 for a set of two.

After finishing, I found I had several miscellaneous lids and a few containers we never use.  (Off to the garage sale box!)

Here's my lid drawer now!  The lids sit slanted against the dividers, which is actually great because I can see and access all of the lids.

I love this new set up.  I've been using it this way for several weeks now and it works!  Best of all, it took me about 10 minutes to do and that included cleaning the drawers.

  1. Wow! Fantastic idea! I have the same problem with my food containers as well, and putting lid on them just utilizes a lot of space in the cupboard. #FeatureFridays

    1. We've been using mostly glass for the past few years and I'll never go back to plastic. Easy to clean, don't stain, and I actually dropped one on a wood floor and it didn't break. :)
