Office Shelf Organization

I recently decided to tackle an organization project in my office at work.  My bookcases looked messy because the books were tilted every which way.  Then because it looked messy, I ended up dumping some stuff on some of the shelves.

Here's the upper part of the bookcases.

Here's the view of the lower shelves.

I decided to arrange some of the books vertically and some stacked horizontally.  I think this creates visual interest and makes the books stand straighter.

And here's how it looks now.  I love it!

  1. It's amazing how much order breeds order and disorder breeds disorder.

  2. It looks much better, I do that all the time with paperbacks, stack themp up lying down, because they are so small they cannot fill the space adequately next to bigger books.

  4. I love when things are organized and neat looking. You have reminded me I need to do that to my pantry as its getting a bit frayed around the edges. Your shelves look very nice now.
